Darkness is the Key

DARKNESS IS THE KEY

A Black Hole in Space

In the world of Light, a woman births light as darkness; in the world of darkness, she is the mystery that leads to the Light.  Thus she unfolds both light and darkness on the journey through Consciousness.

It is only from our myopic third-dimensional perspective that we equate reality with what we see, and vision with light and form.  We conveniently limit our understanding to surface appearance.  In occultism as in science, darkness is a presence; it is tangible to the subtle senses; it is a part of life.  Without darkness there is no light.  It is the texture of space within which form is begotten.  Woman’s nature is this space.

Because darkness is supposedly non-existent, understanding it is  difficult. Furthermore, our society based on performance cannot explain how one can “do” nothingness.  So woman is left out on a limb to fend for herself and forge her own identity based on the reflexions she is given.  It is especially challenging to suggest a spiritual path; far from being the elimination of attributes, like darkness her path contains them all.

In the occult traditions, the Egyptian mysteries represented the initial and fundamental prerequisite for the spiritual journey.  Then as now, they are wholly feminine but were enclosed within a very masculine regime.  Dwelling on the direct experience of the unknown and the unknowable, they acknowledge the heritage of Isis, and mark the path into an abyss that represents the death of the intellect and consensus reality.  They lead into the Osiris traditions of rebirth in Light.

The great and eternal secret is that essential power is secured through the activity of the feminine.  Magician-priests directed forces but the attracting power, the field within which magic occurs is the netting of the feminine force field.  The Feminine implies mastery of influence, of the spaces of in-between.  It enfolds or contains:

º  the passage between the un-manifest to the manifest, from consciousness into matter (and the reverse), as gestation and transmutation within the ritualistic formulae.

º  movement as dance expression, the creative enticing and harnessing of force, storytelling, and recording of events

º  dramatic portrayal that encapsulates the power of influence as deliberate modulation of emotional waves

º  generation, charging and building of power in the human body and circuitry, accentuated and triggered during sexual exchange, but produced freely and independently in the female

As recently as with Gandhi, who chastely slept by a virgin during the last part of his life, the mere proximity of a female body gives men power and stimulates his potential.  She is instrumental.  But she has not always been aware of it, which has led her to assume the servile position of caretaking, and has limited motherhood to domesticity.  Isis was anything but servile or domestic.  Formulas of every sort, in the temples, professional spaces and the home, acquire power upon the backdrop of the great dynamic Void that is the essence of the Mother.  Men lead on that foundation.  It is now time that women did as well.

Women follow without the awareness that they are the power that they follow.

It has always been so at many levels.  In the world of form and meaning woman appears as darkness, but there is a light beyond the apparent dark that is its heart.  In modern astrophysics this Black Hole marks the passage into other galaxies.  It serves the same function in our literal world where it enfolds the process of creation and the secret of time as transition.  This is the mysterious symbolic meaning of the phenomenon of Nut who spread her black body over the heavens so that the stars might shine.

A woman instinctively knows how to access the original creative Source; she doesn’t know how to decode it, understand it, or serve herself of this faculty. Her power lies in wait until she has matured, or she is again valued enough for respectful collaboration with the masculine principle.

The feminine way today and forever, is through inner force, but it is not a single force to be administered individually through personal will.  It is not the domain of emotional personalized woman, but instead relies on the neutrality of intelligence positioned in the heart.  This means that it requires the joint force and support of women united.  Its ultimate power is gathered in groups of women who unite in mutual recognition and respect.  Generating that special energy, we activate the space wherein change must happen. Women are both the way and the solution.

Fields of scintillating substances of Light are born from us and new shapes of true humanity emerge beyond the monsters of greed, money, brute force and intellectual superiority.  Woman is the gate, the space for the miracle that leads from consciousness to matter.  Alone she brings the energy up or casts it down.

The Feminine Principle is a ray of Light that is barely now visible, descending and warming the earth, anchoring progressively into the earth.  Orbs of diamond-shining light emanate from it onto humanity in the dawning of a new and radiant power.  It is the peace we yearn for through being.

Today there is not a defined spiritual path for women to follow, but we are maturing gradually and steadily into our own.  Like the mysteries, life continues to frustrate, trick, defy and challenge the intellect in every way, opening up almost bodily passages, and stimulating the sensibility of subtle mechanisms beyond emotions themselves.  Life, like woman, is always beyond itself.

Peace is the strength of woman’s force field as vast as the sky that she enfolds.  Light is the instinctive privilege of he or she who masters the enigma of darkness.  At its heart is the mystery of the Void, the heart of the Feminine Principle.
